Our club was chartered in May, 1987, as the Rotary Club of Sidney.  The former Sidney Township between Belleville and Trenton became Sidney Ward of the City of Quinte West under municipal amalgamation.  Accordingly, our Club (always a breakfast club) changed its name to The Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise in May, 2003.  Our current membership is ~30, and although we are a small group, we are mighty!

The Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise has actively supported community events through financial and sweat equity contributions.  We traditionally have a team of driver volunteers for Operation Rednose, assist with traffic control for Air Force Days at CFB Trenton, and work with Camp Trillium by assisting with various (and major) renovations.  During Rotary's Centennial year (2005), our members spent their weekends constructing an outdoor classroom for the summer camp operated by Quinte Conservation Authority.  The work done by Quinte Sunrise membes extends far beyond our local community when two Rotarians partnered with the RC of Petaluma, CA, and traveled to San Cristobal, Mexico, to instal a water treatment system in the Mayan village of Monte Sion.

We have hosted the District 7070 Foundation Walk (450+ attending), paddled in the United Way of Quinte's Dragon Boat Festival, launched the Frankford Splash Pad, and work closely with the Rotoract Club of Belleville-Loyalist.

Through our fundraising efforts, we are able to support a variety of causes, including Camp Trillium, Adventures in Technology, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Adventures in Citizenship, and academic scholarships.

We are proud to be Rotarians and to belong to such an amazing organization and club.  We look forward to sharing our experiences with our guests and new members.  Should you have any questions, please contact quintesunriserotary@gmail.com.
