This morning, QSR heard from Rachael Tracy and her recent RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) experience at Loyalist College.

Rachael is no stranger to QSR as she is a member of the Rotaract Club at Loyalist.  In addition, she is the Events Coordinator at the Quinte Small Business Centre, a CIC Officer with the RCAF cadets, a budding politician (she ran for a seat in Ameliasburg council in the 2014 municipal elections), and runs her own business Youth Beyond Enterprises.

RYLA launched in Australia in 1971 to provide enhanced leadership experiences for those 19 to 25 years of age.  For five days in May, Rachael talked about her experience with RYLA, starting with icebreaking activities, to team building, communication skills, and overall leadership training.  Encouraged to ‘thrive on change’, Rachael has made life-long friends through the process and expressed how much the program changed her life.

QSR is extremely proud to have sponsored Rachael for this fantastic opportunity and we’re looking forward to seeing the wonderful things she does in the future.

Thanks Rachael!
